Together the practitioners of the Rainham Osteopathic Clinic offer a wide area of interest and expertise. They have regular practice meetings and share their knowledge collectively.



Christopher Payne

Christopher Payne. Chris graduated with a First Class honours degree in Osteopathic Medicine in 1998 from the British College of Naturophathy and Osteopathy (Now the British College of Osteopathic Medicine.) Chris also gained a diploma in Osteopathy and Naturopathy as part of the same course. He was also one of only two members of his year who gained a distinction in his final clinical competency examination and was awarded the fourth year clinical prize. Since graduating Chris worked in Kent and West Sussex until setting up the Rainham Osteoapthic clinic in 2000. Chris is passionate about Osteopathy and continues to expand his knowledge. Area of interest are the links between dentistry, orthodontic and osteopathy, applying the diagnostic tools of acuptuncture, the importance of the function of the pelvis in pregnacy and treating babies post delivery. Chris also formed the Kent Osteopathic Society to promote continued proffessional development and communication between the osteopaths who practice in Kent in 2004.


Stephen Hipkiss

Stephen Hipkiss. Stephen graduated in 2002 and has been working at the clinic since that time. He graduated from the European school of osteopathy with a B.Sc. in Osteopathy and a diploma in osteopathy. Stephens interests are in Cranial Osteopathy and integrating this with traditional structural forms of treatment.


Rachel Price

Rachel Price. Rachael graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2003 with a diploma of osteopathy and a B.Sc. in Osteopathy. She has worked at the clinic since that time. Her areas of interests are the treatment of children and babies, shoulder injuries and treating animals. She hopes to complete a post-graduate course in the near future.
